Faculty Development Award

Grant Program Overview

Each Faculty Development Award provides a minimum of $300,000 in funding over a three-year period. These mentored awards are given to further the development of junior faculty into independent investigators by funding excellent research that will strengthen the A/I specialty and ultimately lead to happier & healthier patients.

The Letter of Intent (LOI) is now closed for the 2025 AAAAI Faculty Development Award. Please visit the AAAAI Grants, Awards & Scholarships page for more information. All LOIs are due by August 21, 2024, 3:00pm (Central)

The AAAAI Foundation is committed to increasing ethnic and racial diversity in the A/I field, and strongly encourages minority applicants to apply. Further, the AAAAI Foundation is committed to geographic diversity in the A/I field, and strongly encourages applications from diverse geographic areas, especially those where few AAAAI Foundation grants have been awarded.

AAAAI Foundation awards are administered by the AAAAI Grant Review Committee under the auspices of the AAAAI Foundation. Award candidates are selected at the discretion of the committee with the approval of the AAAAI Foundation Council and the AAAAI Board of Directors. On occasion, if too few applications are submitted, the AAAAI Foundation will issue a new call for applications with an extended deadline. In rare circumstances, an award may not be presented if an insufficient number of quality applications are received.

Selection Process

Award recipient decisions are made by the AAAAI Foundation Council in consultation with the AAAAI Board of Directors. These decisions are based upon the recommendations of the AAAAI Grant Review Committee. Award applicants and recipients are notified in January.
