Jordan N. Fink, MD, FAAAAI Lectureship

Jordan N. Fink, MD FAAAAIJordan N. Fink, MD, FAAAAI was an iconic figure in allergy/immunology. Dr. Fink trained over 50 fellows and developed the careers of numerous medical faculty members during his time at the Medical College of Wisconsin (formerly Marquette University’s School of Medicine). So many of us across the world are deeply indebted to Dr. Fink for his time, effort, and care. Not only was he an amazing researcher but was the quintessential clinician scientist. His astute observation in the late 1960’s led to the clinical description, science, and treatment of hypersensitivity pneumonia.

He was a former president of the AAAAI and continued to work until he was 80 years of age. He authored 368 papers in his career and contributed greatly to information about allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis (ABPA), ABPA in patients with cystic fibrosis, and latex allergy. He was division chief of A/I for multiple decades. His original SCOR grant in the early 1970’s for $10 million (the equivalent of >$59 million today) is remarkable.

Dr. Fink passed away in May 2024. If you wish to honor Dr. Fink, please consider a gift to the Jordan N. Fink, MD, FAAAAI Lectureship Fund. A donation in any amount can be dedicated to this effort. The Fink Family will be notified of your gift, and your name will be listed as a donor to this fund in the Annual Report of the AAAAI Foundation. Your donation makes a difference.
